Support Maine's Public Schools is a statewide group of Maine educators, school board members, parents, taxpayers, community members, elected leaders, and many others who are taking action to support our public schools across the state. We believe that public schools are essential to functioning democratic, successful, equitable, just communities and societies.
Right now, coordinated, national campaigns that target individual staff members, inclusive books and curriculum, student policies, and education regulations are happening across Maine. These campaigns are disrupting the education of Maine students, and we know that the coordinated efforts are part of a larger plan to defund and eliminate public schools altogether.
Join us as we stand together to support the teachers, administrators, and school boards who honor their duty and obligation to create a safe and healthy learning environment for all Maine students.
